Genesis 5:1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
And God called their name Adam. The name Adam is the name of a race as Christ is of a race too. The first man Adam was made in the likeness of God. God is righteous, man also was. The day he took heed to the devil he partook out of the Devil's nature. The seed of Sin drop in him. He had sin. Sin became his nature. That brings me to explain that sin is not an 'act' per say, it is the nature of the devil imputed to man.
1 John 3:8 He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Do we see that the Devil sinned from the beginning, which is his nature. The spirit-man of the first Adam became sin by nature. Someone say sin is 'SATAN-IMPUTED NATURE'. Then someone may ask, should we begin to mess up? I didn't say that. Get this: We need to know that sin is not an act but it is a nature. The nature of the spirit man started teaching the body through the soul-man the principle of sin. Then we saw the act.
If we must stop sinning, we will deal with the root of it. As a result of this sin, every man has death on his spirit. So everyman born of a woman has sinned, for in Adam all sinned (Rom 5:12). No matter how moral anybody is, he or she has sinned.
Romans 3:23 For all HAVE SINNED, and come short of the glory of God;
People cite this above scripture when they want to pray. They present the scripture in an attitude of what they call humility. They say this to present that everyone has sin presently in them. But if we must take a close look, we'll see that the bible says FOR ALL HAVE SINNED. This was in Adam that all sinned. If you noticed it is a past tense. That is why everybody sinned in Adam.
