This is not the kind of thing I like…Remember God is so good in Joyous celebration
“My God is Good – Everything na Double Double ” is a gospel song which originated from Nigeria and West Africa and is spreading across Africa like bushfire.
Nigerian gospel artist of the ‘God is good’ fame, Uche-chukwu Agu, cancelled his concert on Sunday at Robins Park in Blantyre following a fatal road accident involving the supporting artists.
The Cavalry Family Church invited Uche to Malawi. The church said a minibus carrying Uche’s backing members –  Joyous Celebration choir -was involved in tragic road accident Saturday night at Phalula, Balaka on their way from Lilongwe where they had another performance.
“CFC leadership is informing all that Uche’s Blantyre show has been postponed following the fatal road accident involving Uche’s backing team. CFC will continue updating you,” says an announcement on the CFC radio.
And it appears fans are battling to come to terms with the announcement as most of them bought advanced tickets for the show.
Death
Meanwhile, a guitarist Chikondi Kanjero, a member of the church’s praise team has died following the tragic accident. Kanjero was among Uche’s backing team which was involved in tragic road accident.
One source told Nyasa Times that the burial ceremony will take place Monday and the remains will be laid to rest at HHI cemetery.
“Chikondi was vibrant and dedicated to the work God, we will miss him,” lamented the source.
However, he could not tell the condition of the other members who were travelling together with the deceased.
My condolence to Chikondi Kanjero. May is soul rest in Peace..
