"This is actually a thank you to the community. We have a scholarship called "the Future Leader Scholarship Fund and we have been raising funds for that from the community and this is our thank you for supporting that effort," said Tony Gee.
This year 8 students will receive a 1,500 dollar scholarship to help with school expenses like books and Alexandria Cook who is graduating from Irmo High and going to USC Upstate in the fall says it's a blessing.
"It’s good because they are thinking about other people instead of just being worried about making money or bring the hottest artists here," said Cook.
With all the fellowship and fun in the sun, people in attendance for the Family fest said it’s all for God.
